Video NPCA & The Mission Continues Join Together to Protect Our Parks NPCA has been working with veterans organizations across the country to provide experiences and opportunities for our vets to enjoy and support national parks in their communities, and to speak up on behalf of these important places. One of those organizations is The Mission Continues, with which NPCA have worked with on projects benefiting parks and communities across the country. In February 2018, NPCA and The Mission Continues worked together on a park restoration project in South Florida.

Staff Jared Dial Jared Dial is the Associate Director of National Parks Experiences for NPCA, offering immersive small group travel opportunities and educational adventures to members in national parks across the country. Jared also oversees NPCA’s partnership and participation in both Climate Ride and Climate Hike.

Park Gettysburg National Military Park The 1863 battle in this small farming community resulted in more than 50,000 casualties over three days, making it the deadliest engagement of the American Civil War. This battle is now referred to as the “High Water Mark of the Confederacy” — the last meaningful offensive the South would conduct against northern forces. The visitor center at Gettysburg features one of the largest collections of Civil War artifacts in the country.
