Park Cedar Breaks National Monument Millions of years of erosion created this spectacular amphitheater, which measures three miles across and half a mile deep. The park features colorful arches, spires, pinnacles and hoodoos, and Native Americans called this area the "Circle of Painted Cliffs." The rim of the canyon features subalpine forestland of ponderosa pine and quaking aspen, as well as meadows that burst with wildflowers each summer.

Park Buck Island Reef National Monument This Caribbean park protects a small uninhabited island and the pristine elkhorn coral barrier reef that surrounds it, all about a mile and a half off the coast of St. Croix. Considered one of the finest marine gardens in the Caribbean, the monument protects a pristine underwater environment and habitat for rare and threatened species, including endangered leatherback and hawksbill turtles. Snorkelers can enjoy an interpretive underwater trail, one of only three such trails in the country.

Park Andersonville National Historic Site Located in southwest Georgia, this 515-acre historic site is a tribute to the prisoner of war experience. Etched on memorials throughout the park is the phrase, "Death Before Dishonor," symbolizing the American resolve to uphold the value of freedom and liberty in the face of adversity. The site consists of Andersonville Prison, the National Prisoner of War Museum and the national cemetery. The museum opened at Andersonville in 1998 and is dedicated to all brave men and women of the United States who have suffered captivity.
