Chris is the region’s Associate Director in NPCA's Minnesota Field Office in Minneapolis.

Chris has been with NPCA since 2011, protecting some of our northernmost national parks. She worked with the park service and researchers to ensure successful wolf restoration at Isle Royale National Park. Chris leads efforts to protect the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers from the threat of invasive carp. The Stop Carp Coalition waged a successful campaign to close the Upper St. Anthony Falls lock in Minneapolis as a means of stopping these harmful fish from moving further upstream. She is now working to protect downstream waters as well as determine a new future for the Mississippi River’s locks and dams in the Twin Cities. Prior to NPCA, Chris launched the first field office for Transportation for America and served as a staff attorney with the Housing Preservation Project. She’s also served on the boards of the Conservation Corps for MN & IA and HOME Line. Chris is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School and grew up visiting South Dakota’s national parks.
