When we were kids my dad and mom always took my brother and me to the smokies.. My brother and I always wanted to hike with my dad but separately … so one time I picked Laurel Falls because it would be easier on my dad… but my brother the next day picked the Chimneys.. Good thing I picked Laurel Falls..😂

A Park Ranger here not only told us all about the synchronized fireflies, but also how to secure a campsite 6 months in advance in order to have the best chance of witnessing their rituals. It was truly an amazing experience that we would otherwise have not known about.
