I want to thank the rangers of Great Smoky Mountains National Park for giving wonderful talks to children who visit the nature centers, historic sites, trails and special events. When I was a young child in the early 1960s I visited the Smokies for the first time, camping with my family. I loved hearing the ranger led talks at night. These are such fond memories. I thought that being a ranger must be the most wonderful job a person could ever have. I didn’t become one, but I developed a love for the National Parks which I now hope to pass on to my two grandsons. My husband and I are taking them on camping trips in the Smokies. Thanks to all of you park rangers out there. Rangers Rock!!!!
Sincerely,
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
