Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt Resigns

Since becoming EPA administrator, Pruitt has failed to uphold even the most basic protections for our environment and public health.

Statement by Theresa Pierno, President and CEO for National Parks Conservation Association:

“From the beginning we have had concerns about Scott Pruitt’s ability to lead the EPA, which is why NPCA and millions of Americans have long called for his resignation. Since becoming administrator, Pruitt has failed to uphold even the most basic protections for our environment and public health. In fact, he has actively worked to dismantle them. This includes our national parks, their clean air and water, and the integrity of our lands. We cannot afford to have someone in this position harming the very agency and bedrock policies he is charged with protecting.”
