Mary Chandler joined NPCA in November 2023 after working previously for The Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital and the American Hiking Society.
She is a “Double Hoo,” holding a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature from the University of Virginia. She interned at Girls on the Run Hampton Roads for several summers and now volunteers for the Northern Virginia council. Outside of work, Mary Chandler enjoys creative writing and photography. Her young son, husband, and energetic terrier mix are her favorite muses.
A fun fact about Mary Chandler is that her parents moved to Honolulu in 2021. While she will always consider Norfolk, VA to be her hometown, she enjoys visiting her parents in Hawaii whenever she can.
