I heard the Cleetwood Trail that connects Crater Lake rim with the lake’s edge was going to close for renovation for several years at the end of summer, so I rushed to book a Wizard Island tour. I live in southern Oregon and have never taken the tour. I went yesterday and it was way more than I expected. Our guide, Jackie, and our boat Captains Pam and Chris were exceptional. Jackie shared all kinds of botanical and geologcial knowledge as well as mythological stories that brought great depth to the tour. The hours on Wizard Island hiking around added more insight and apprececiation for all our National Park staff do for us to be able to enjoy the grandeur of our parks. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Crater Lake National Park
