Greetings from Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve

We were traveling between family in WA and home in CA at the end of our vacation, looking for something new along the way. It pays to notice the small print on the map! A little bit out of the way, with a lovely National Forest camping area nearby, we were thrilled by the beautiful Oregon Caves! What a jewel - we had no idea! We never ceased to be amazed at the variety of incredible natural treasures our country holds. Hold them dear!

Sincerely,
Jane and Glenn

Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve

In southwest Oregon, this relatively small park is easy to miss, along a winding road in the mountains and a long way from anywhere — but it’s worth seeking out. Sometimes referred to as the “marble halls of Oregon,” the park’s dramatic marble caves feature a flowing river, ancient wildlife bones, petrified rock gardens and caverns to explore.
