Our family vacation to Mt Rainier in 1996 is a favorite. We camped 5 days at Ohanapecosh and then 4 days at White River. We hiked a different trail every day, attended the Ranger education lectures and evening sing-alongs. Our daughters got their 1st “Junior Ranger” badges (something they continue to do at every Nat'l Park they visit even 30 yrs later). Our favorite trail was Fremont Lookout which was a bit scary traversing a tiny trail across a glacier with a 5 yr old but the view from the lookout tower was breathtaking! This trip instilled a love of nature, hiking and Nat'l Parks in our family and we still take a family vacation to a different park every year. Our National Parks are priceless and the most family friendly adventures that exist.
