All of our National Parks are beautiful, but one of my favorites is Grand Teton National Parks.
The untouched wilderness of the National Parks gives us all the unspoiled country the way it was and the way it should be in the future: the wildlife thrives, the air is clean, the waters are clear, sounds are not marred by vehicles, and everywhere your eyes can see lacks the modern day trash of cities (above ground wires and poles, etc.).
The hike around Jenny Lake is a favorite of mine. You have the mountains on the western side of the lake and almost a “beach-ier” feel on the northwest side. The image of the Teton range reflecting off of the clear water of Jenny Lake will always remain in my mind.
Our National Parks, more than anywhere else, are a place that gives my mind a rest and brings peace to my heart.
Sincerely,
Grand Teton National Park
This spectacular destination preserves a dramatic stretch of the Teton Range bordering the Snake River. One of the unusual features of these distinctive mountains is the absence of foothills, meaning that there are no smaller mountains blocking the view. The park also features glacier-carved lakes, a historic district of weathered buildings made by 19th century Mormon homesteaders, and an abundance of wildlife large and small, including nearly 1,000 bison that roam the grassy fields in herds.
