Celebrate National Park Week and Earth Day at New River Gorge

Join the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) and the National Park Service (NPS) at New River Gorge National Park and Preserve to celebrate National Park Week and Earth Day with two back-to-back exciting park events. Participate in one or both of these events taking place on Friday, April 22 in one of America's newest national parks.

NPCA Earth Day Service Project: Garlic Mustard Pull

WHEN: Friday, April 22, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. ET WHERE: New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, Lower Glade Creek Trailhead RSVP: Celebrate Earth Day with NPCA and NPS with a service project to remove the invasive garlic mustard from the trail. Volunteers are recommended to wear long sleeves, pants and sturdy walking shoes. Work gloves and water will be provided. Be sure to RSVP on Eventbrite.

Celebrate National Park Week with NPCA: Wildflower and Waterfall Walk

WHEN: Friday, April 22, 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. ET WHERE: New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, Lower Glade Creek Trailhead RSVP: Celebrate National Park Week with the NPCA and NPS with a scenic wildflower and waterfall walk in one of America’s newest national parks. We will be walking about 3 miles (1.5 miles out and back). Don’t forget to wear comfortable walking shoes. Please RSVP on Eventbrite as space is limited.
