Zion National Park Visitor Use Management Public Scoping Meetings

During the next two weeks, Zion National Park staff members are hosting six public meetings in Utah and one webinar to hear from the public — that’s you — about strategies to manage the park's rapidly growing visitation.

Zion, with its soaring canyon walls and breathtaking vistas, is the most-visited national park in Utah and one of the top 10 most-visited national parks in the country. The number of people drawn to the park from around the world has increased 35 percent in the past 10 years and is expected to exceed 4 million this year.

Zion has initiated a planning process to find the right balance between enjoyable, safe visitor experiences and the protection of the park’s wildlife habitat, water, plants, natural sounds and cultural resources.

Learn about the proposed strategies on the National Park Service’s park planning site and take advantage of these opportunities to share your thoughts and ideas.
