Alaska Regional Office Field Reports

These field reports provide timely updates and perspectives on issues of interest to our members and supporters in Alaska.

In our Summer 2019 Field Report, you’ll learn about some of our most important work these past few months protecting Alaska’s spectacular national parks, including:

  • Defending the future of the Western Arctic Caribou Herd from a proposed 200-plus mile road across Gates of the Arctic National Preserve lands;
  • Fighting the threat Pebble Mine poses to Alaska’s brown bears & bear-viewing economy around Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks and Preserves; and
  • Raising awareness about proposed hunting regulations and an unfortunate Supreme Court ruling on hovercraft use in the Yukon-Charly National Preserve.
  • Plus, you’ll get a glimpse of Alaska by the numbers – a new pictorial of fast facts on Alaska’s national parks, campaigns and advocates.
