The House of Representatives has adopted HR 4089, the “Recreational Fishing and Hunting Heritage and Opportunities Act,” and has sent the bill to the Senate.

The House of Representatives has adopted HR 4089, the “Recreational Fishing and Hunting Heritage and Opportunities Act,” and has sent the bill to the Senate. Title I § 104(a) requires Federal public land management officials to exercise their authority under existing law to “facilitate use of and access to Federal public lands … for fishing, sport hunting, and recreational shooting.” Section (b) adds that the federal agencies shall exercise their management discretion in a manner that “supports” those activities.
