Gabriel joined the Conservation Programs team for summer 2023 as a Paleo Resources in the National Parks Fellow. He will be researching park paleo issues and creating analytical products to help promote paleo science.

Gabriel received his B.A in Biology and History from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and is currently pursuing his Masters in Forestry and in Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School Of The Environment. Having grown up in Brazil, he developed a great appreciation for conservation. Additionally, his previous work with forestry has taught him the importance of preserving our natural resources for a healthier and more productive environment.
