Erin Hackenmueller is a storyteller, an outdoor recreation enthusiast, a history fanatic, and a community leader.

For the past five years, she has worked in the development of rural and under-resourced Alabama, which helped her realize that she wants to do work that impacts people on a local level. Erin believes that preserving the environment is one of the most pressing issues facing her generation, and she wants to do what she can to make a difference. Erin can often be found on a hike, reading a historic marker, or trying to identify various plant species. She loves traveling and exploring the outdoors. She also cares deeply about environmental justice and the preservation of natural public spaces.
