Cynthia Sanchez grew up in Southern California but has been a resident of DC since 2022. She believes in the importance of diversifying and making sure that the outdoors is an inclusive space for all to enjoy.

She enjoys visiting national parks, exploring Rock Creek Park, and picnicking across DC parks/green spaces. She currently works in a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing Latino student success in higher education and collaborates with higher education leaders across the country to support and advance their work. She is passionate about climate change and its disproportionate impact on low-income and people of color. Through the NPCA Young Professional Advisory Council, she is looking forward to finding ways to advocate for the reduction and mitigation of climate impacts to protect national parks for future generations.
