Alexandra Medina graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.A. in history and minor in museum studies in 2023. She is currently continuing her studies at The University of Texas at San Antonio in the M.A. program for history.

Her historical focuses include Mexican American history, Texas history, and public history. In May 2023 Alex was an NPCA Blackwell intern. Throughout the summer, she conducted six interviews with Blackwell School alumni, Marfa community members, Blackwell alumni descendants, and other Mexican Americans that attended segregated school in Texas. Alex’s passion for public history, culture, and the environment inspired her to advocate for the National Parks as a member of the Texas Young Leaders Advocacy Council.
