Little to No Concern
The Lincoln Home National Historical Site preserves the only home Abraham Lincoln ever actually owned. The Lincoln family lived in the 12-room Greek Revival house at Eighth and Jackson in Springfield for 17 years before departing in 1861 for the White House. Not only can visitors see the home, they can also stroll around the four blocks surrounding the house—all restored to their 1860 appearance.
