I finally had a chance to visit Yosemite National Park this summer, and it was an amazing experience. We climbed up a trail leading to a breathtaking waterfall. To get close to the water, you had to climb down a steep slope covered in gigantic rocks. My sister and dad encouraged me to try but I was fearful of heights and stayed behind. Once my dad and sister came back up, they described how amazing it was. As they talked about it, I realized that I may never come back again, and I decided to face my fear. I climbed down the rocks and when I finally stood at the bottom, it was worth it. From up close, I could see the water spraying off the rocks and the roar of the falls filled my ears, muting all other sounds. It was more beautiful than I could have imagined.
Sincerely,
