Greetings from Yosemite National Park

I have been visiting Yosemite since 1980. I LOVE wildflowers and I used to go the first 2 weeks of June. Now, 40 years later, the same wildflowers come up in May; about a 4 week difference. I was there 2 weeks ago and as I have been going there for so many years, I have made friends with a number of rangers and other people who work and volunteer there. The staff can’t comment, but I can. They all say the same thing, They are WORRIED about the visitors’ safety. They are also upset that many programs have been scaled way back as well as research. They worry about the possible sale of parklands and bringing in private enterprise, like golf courses. We MUST badger our Reps and Senators to SUPPORT AMERICA’S GREATEST IDEA!

Sincerely,
Bob

Parks deserve to be kept safe, because they will be here for our future as most of them have the rights to not be cut down and ruined.

Ranger Shelton Johnson only ENHANCED my understanding of the Buffalo Soldiers with his performance of "Through the Eyes of a Buffalo Soldier." I have had a number of conversations with him and he is a TREASURE! ALWAYS available for Q&A and discussion. I'll be in Yosemite in 2 days.
