Yellowstone NP is the total wonder of what a park should be! From geothermal features (2/3 of the world’s total) to flora (lodgepole pine & aspens & ponderosa pine to wildflowers) to fauna (bison, elk, mule & white-tail deer, moose, grizzly & black bear, golden & bald eagles, and even yellow-bellied marmots! Lake Yellowstone is the highest elevation lake in the lower 48 states. Now, we haven’t talked about the accommodations and the food, plus roadside museums, and informative book and gift shops! When people tell me that they are going some place in the world for vacation, I tell them to just stay home and see their Nat. Park system - you can’t beat it except for small entrance, Americans OWN them!! a certified Best-Buy !!

America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.
