My partner and I spent 6 weeks traveling cross country and camping in several national parks. In each park we visited we would explore the park with a park ranger so that we could learn about how the area was created, what plants and wildlife were found there, and what we could do to help protect this resource. The rangers made our experience so much more interesting and inspired us to appreciate the value of the area so we would protect it for future generations.
Sincerely,
Grand Canyon National Park
America’s Southwest is full of breathtaking canyons, but none as famous or as widely visited as the Grand Canyon. This world-famous landmark offers wondrous views, spectacular hiking, exhilarating whitewater rafting and countless adventures. One look across the enormous chasm confirms just why this inspirational place is one of the seven natural wonders of the world and a must-see destination for so many travelers. The park also protects a wealth of biological diversity, including numerous endemic and threatened species and several rare ecosystems.

“I support the NPCA because of my early experiences. When people have firsthand knowledge of the beauty and learning opportunities of nature and history, they will be more likely to protect the environment so the parks will be around for generations. When we experience the positive impact of these parks, we will be more willing to protect these lands by our laws and financial support.”
