Greetings from Glacier National Park

We’re there every year since 1998 for as long as we can stay. It truly is the crown of the continent. What joy and happiness we’ve found there with family and friends, exploring new trails and old favorites each time. We think the shuttle is wonderful, reducing traffic on Going-to-the-Sun. Usually camp at Fish Creek with the family and then move on to the east side by ourselves. Experimenting with different times of year, going earlier and later. Many wildlife sightings: mountain goats, bighorn sheep, grizz at a distance. The stars seem closer.

Sincerely,
Ellie and Frank

Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park preserves more than a million acres of forests, alpine meadows and lakes with habitat for a wide variety of plant and animal life.

State(s): Montana

Established: 1910

“If we don't support the parks, we'll lose them. And it's important to bring more people to the parks who lack the means to visit them the way we do. Americans need to know what we have here. And we need to respect the native people whose lands these really are.”

National parks represent the best of America. Why do you care about protecting and preserving them? Tell us why parks matter to you!
