Being native New Yorker I have had the pleasure of visiting the Statue of Liberty on several events. Moreso, being the unofficial guide for friends and family who i get to share their first time adventure and learning experience with. The significance of this great monument cannot be forgotten and should be immortalized for every generation to come. It is the foundation that built the greatest country in the world on, about freedom and liberty. A doorway that offered the worlds underprivlaged opportunity to make dreams come true without government oppression. Both my grandparents were immigrants from Italy, and they were the true biproducts of this great country and what the Statue Of Liberty represents.

The statue stands on Liberty Island in New York, and overlooks New York Harbor and the city skyline. A symbol of liberty and relief from oppression, she was the first sight of America for US immigrants who arrived by boat.
