Greetings from Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument

I was met by a ranger in the welcome center who gave me an in-depth explanation of the fossil beds and all the things I was about to see while exploring within the park boundary. Because of her knowledge and enthusiasm, I was able to enjoy my experience that much more. At the end of my visit, I stopped by the kiosk to thank her for her time and she gave me a Junior Ranger pin. At the age of 29, it was a childhood dream recognized. I will always have that pin on display to remember the time I had at the fossil beds and an exciting conversation with a fantastic ranger.

Sincerely,
Catherine
