Greetings from Glacier National Park

I have traveled all over our amazing country, and after visits to nearly all of the large, great National Parks, I feel so blessed to have seen the wonders of Zion in the moonlight, feeling dwarfed my the tall redwoods in California, the girth of the mighty sequoias. I love each and every one of these, and many others. My favorite however, is Glacier National Park. I tried driving through it on my own, but realized that driving on the edge of a mountain and trying to look into the valley too, was unsafe! So, I caught one of the “red jammer” open buses with a guide describing everything we saw. The grandeur of the glacier-carved mountains in the distance is one of the greatest experiences of my many long years! I love the national parks so much because they give me a perspective on my life and of the beauty of our nation, and I hope they will become dear to you too.

Sincerely,
Dale

Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park preserves more than a million acres of forests, alpine meadows and lakes with habitat for a wide variety of plant and animal life.

State(s): Montana

Established: 1910

“I am brought into the present moment--not thinking about what I have to do or what needs to be done--but just enjoying the physical beauty, hearing the sounds of nature rather than urban life, smelling the freshness of the air and plants, and seeing beauty of the native wildlife, flowers, and plants. I have been exposed to so many things in national parks which I never would have experienced otherwise, and that makes me realize what an amazing country we have.. ”
