Greetings from Yellowstone National Park

In 1968 my grandparents took a road trip across the U.S. They left from Pennsylvania and drove west, camping in National Parks along the way. They wrote notes in journals along the way, including notes about the parks, rangers, and campsites. My grandfather told me all kinds of great stories about their adventures. He has the BEST stories. They also took great pictures of all pf the parks. I hope to someday use their journals to follow their trip and visit all of the same parks.

Sincerely,
Sarah

Yellowstone National Park

America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.

State(s): Idaho Montana, Wyoming,

“My grandparents loved national parks and had so many adventures there. I hope to be able to visit all of the same parks someday.”
