Greetings from Grand Canyon National Park

It was 1975 and our godson from London was making his first trip to the USA at age 16. We traveled from New York to the West Coast in a l970 Chevrolet station wagon with our family of 5 plus Geoffrey plus my 73 year old mother. After several days of travel, we made it to the Grand Canyon but it was late, dark, and there was not a motel within miles. Long story short the 7 of us had to sleep overnight in a parking lot at the Grand Canyon stuffed inside that station wagon! It was CROWDED and uncomfortable…..but we awoke early the next morning to see the most amazing sunrise over the canyon. We will never forget the beauty!

Sincerely,
Mary Heller
