Greetings from Canaveral National Seashore

“Carlos” is the Canaveral National Seashore’s Apollo District Park Ranger who greets everyone at the gate entrance with a hello and “you’re all set” for a great day in the park. He’s so welcoming to guests that I’ve brought him donuts and coffee a few times when visiting the park. Carlos is an excellent ambassador for the Canaveral National Seashore Park! From the pristine beaches, dolphins, turtles, bobcats, and many other wildlife, to the mosquito lagoon with manatees, this park is great for wildlife and bird watching too.

Sincerely,
James

Canaveral National Seashore

Canaveral National Seashore is located on a barrier island off the east coast of Florida that features unspoiled beaches and over 100 middens — heaps of shells, broken pottery and discarded arrowheads left by the Timucuan Indians who were the area's first known inhabitants. The park also features remnants of a deserted Florida town settled by land speculators who settled on Mosquito Lagoon after the Civil War.

“It’s one of the best places to unwind, get refreshed, and feel recharged. More importantly, the parks are excellent places for one’s mental health and relaxation too. ”
