Greetings from Glacier National Park

This is where our friends got engaged at the end of a hike in (yes IN) a glacial lake! The rangers who stop traffic to safely allow the antelope/mountain goats to cross are awesome!! They point them out to visitors as they spot them in the mountains on their way, stop traffic and invite people to watch the crossing. It’s so cool, prioritizes safety and appreciation for the land to remain the animals’ home. Not to mention the rangers who are on the trails and calmly advise us when/where there are bears, where at, how to stay safe and respectful of each other. They never panic, are knowledgeable, keep the trails safe for people, and always keep nature/the native animals as a priority - not just at Glacier, but every National Park we’ve been to (which is a lot). Rangers are ESSENTIAL and we are so thankful for them. I look forward to the days we WILL place this type of career at the top of importance and provide so much support for. In the meantime, you guys are heroes. Always have been. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Sydney

Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park preserves more than a million acres of forests, alpine meadows and lakes with habitat for a wide variety of plant and animal life.

State(s): Montana

Established: 1910

“THE ENVIRONMENT IS EVERYTHING. It was here first, along with the plants and non-human animals. They deserve our absolute top preservation, education and appreciation. Parks and rangers are some of the few groups left doing just that. We'll never stop aiming our money in that direction.”

National parks represent the best of America. Why do you care about protecting and preserving them? Tell us why parks matter to you!
