My husband and I are retired and in good health. We love having a country filled with beautiful parks. Each year we plan a vacation to visit 2 national parks we have not visited (and of course constantly visit those national and state parks that are close). We are on a limited budget and it is amazing what a wonderful vacation is just waiting for us at each of our parks. Where else do you get the opportunity to clean buffalo poop out of your sneaker?

Yellowstone National Park
America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.
