Greetings from Canyonlands National Park

I have visited over 50 national parks all over the country. Canyonlands and Arches are probably my favorites–and Bryce. I know that others before me helped secure these jewels for my pleasure and I feel obligated to help maintain them for future generations. I believe NPCA does a fantastic job of supporting that endeavor. I am pleased to lend my support as a partner.

Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands National Park preserves an immense desert wilderness sculpted by the Green and Colorado rivers and featuring hundreds of colorful canyons, mesas, buttes, fins, arches and spires. The Island in the Sky District is the most accessible and popular section of the park — a mesa with spectacular views of the surrounding canyons. The Needles is a vaster territory below the Island in the Sky where visitors can hike among the sandstone spires and breathtaking rocks.

    Park rangers at the visitor center are very friendly and provide important information on current off road trail conditions. Rangers assured me my Subaru outback Wilderness would do well on Long Canyon Trail. They were right and I had the time of my life.
