Greetings from Minute Man National Historical Park

My husband and I stopped at Minute Man National Historical Park during a weekday in May 2022. We had the Visitors Center to ourselves. (It was still COVID times, so tourist numbers were down.) We met a ranger who stood with us by a map and spent 20 minutes or more telling us the history of “the shot heard round the world.” It was such a personal accounting, just the three of us, steeped in the history of our country. Then my husband and I went outside where the battle began, and the whole scene was in our heads from the ranger’s telling. My husband and I still talk about it. Thank you to that gentleman and to all National Park workers! You are appreciated!!

Sincerely,
Susan
