Greetings from Grand Canyon National Park

When I was a kid, My parents would take us on long trips through the country stopping at different national parks along the different routes of each trip. It was an incredible gift. I saw so may of the beautiful places this country has to offer. But one trip I will always remember was a time we hiked along the rim of the Grand Canyon. A thunder shower developed and there was nowhere to go so we were stuck there and very lucky we didn’t get struck by lightening. This is not actually something I would recommend. We watched as the shower went over us and then down into the canyon where we watched it from above. I’ve never seen anything like it. We saw so many wonderful things on those trips. Our parks are a wonderful heritage and it pains me to see them threatened in any way.

Sincerely,
Diane
