Greetings from Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Moving from hilly rural NY to piedmont NC 45 years ago, my homesickness found it’s cure in traveling the Scenic By Ways of the Skyline Drive & Blue Ridge Parkway and finding the Great Smoky Mtn Nat'l Park. My family who moved to the NE Georgia mountains agreed with me, when our travels back & forth had us crossing through these beautiful mtn vistas. They are my soul’s happy place, where I receive rejuvenation and a fresh perspective on how fortunate we are to share such awesome beauty & experiences with nature.
Now retired, my husband & I love to drive, hike, find waterfalls, find new overnight places to stay and swap stories with fellow like-minded outdoors seekers. Take it all in! Give your mental health a Mother Earth embrace. You’ll want to return again & again for the next adventure. It will never leave you lacking for inspiration!

Sincerely,
Nancy

“We can never take for granted how important maintaining wild spaces is for our environment, preservation of cleaner air & water, support of balanced native flora & fauna, and respite for humans in an ever changing fast paced, and ever more electronically connected existence. If our environment goes, the flora & fauna go, humans will follow. There is no other option! ”
