Greetings from Yellowstone National Park

My mother from Hannibal, MO met my father from Red Lodge Montana at Yellowstone when she was a tourist and he was a tourist bus driver. He watched her through his rear view mirror as she cavorted with her friends. He asked her to a dance, and the rest became history. She quit her job as secretary to the mayor in Hannibal and moved to Spokane, WA. They were married on March 22, 1940. He was drafted into the army and spent the WWII in Guatalcanal. Mom worked for the Army Map Company in Quincy, IL. After the war, they had three children, and they traveled to many national parks including Yellowstone, the Rockies, Tetons, and Grand Canyon. As an adult, I have taken my two children to those parks and travelled to many others.

Sincerely,
Shirley May
