Greetings from Denali National Park & Preserve

I went to Alaska when I was 8 years old with my family. Denali was the last stop on a monthlong trip where we camped across country and then flew up to Anchorage. Along the trip we visited many parks but the Badlands and Yellowstone stood out to me. Visiting there felt like visiting another planet! Denali was incredibly memorable because we got to hike up to and camp on a glacier. We saw moose, crystal clear lakes, and ate many pounds of wild blueberries. I loved learning about Denali’s history (it was named Mt. McKinley at the time) and its importance to Alaskans. I have a 9 year old in 4th grade this year and I’m so excited to visit a national park this year with him (although sadly, we won’t make it as far as Alaska). My childhood trip was lifechanging. Thank you for all you do to protect these magical places.
