Part of the treasure of Acadia has been what it means to other communities. The Boston Chapter of the Appalacian Mountain Club (AMC) regularly takes their newly graduated Rock Program participants to the Park for a long weekend of climbing across Acadia’s many crags. From the multi-pitch experiences by Precipice Trail to the gorgeous views at Otter Cliffs climbing over the Atlantic Ocean, this weekend is so powerful for Rock Program participants to take what they have learned and empower them to use it outdoors safely.
