I visited Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park for the first time when I was around 7. It seemed like a magical place: glimmering gold statues, small reflecting pools with tiny frogs, a view from a beautiful porch… I couldn’t have asked for more as a 7 year old. I have gone back twice as an adult (sorry, no pictures). I didn’t expect it to live up to my 7 year-old self’s memories, but it did! Stunning (and full of really interesting history and historical perspectives that my 7 year-old self didn’t completely appreciate). Thank you for everything you do to care for this place so that magical memories can continue to be made. Without your care and service, Saint-Gaudens wouldn’t be here to inspire us (and teach us).
Sincerely,
Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park
