Greetings from Yellowstone National Park

I was ten years old when my Grandfather took me and my older brother to see some of the most wonderful parks in the U.S. The first one we saw was the sea lions in the cave on the coast of Oregon. Then we went north to Yellowstone park and spent a few nights there. I saw my first bear when I peaked out the window early the next morning. It was a wonderful experience. I just wish I still had my photos to share with you.

Sincerely,
D. Phoenix

Yellowstone National Park

America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.

State(s): Idaho Montana, Wyoming,

Established: 1872

“I support the national parks because of the trip with my wonderful Grandfather and the many times I took my children camping in our parks.”
