My beginning and end to my professional goal to be a park ranger. Here is why. Back in 1996 I was working for Yellowstone and was getting degree and interning in other majestic natural places in hopes to be a park ranger. But after years of seasonal jobs and terrible pay, I had to change course and became a dog trainer ( which was awesome). However, now I’m 52 years old, have a self contained off grid solar Jeep, willing to volunteer and scrub toilets for the National Parks asking for no water, no electricity, literally nothing, but to volunteer my time, and I can’t do it, because there’s so little staff I can’t get fingerprinted and yet aren’t opening areas because they have no volunteers.
WTH… what does this administration value? Just really makes me sad that I can’t even volunteer, but America’s Great Again! Right? Wake me up when it is
