People's Hearing for the Clean Power Plan

NPCA supports and encourages members concerned about our climate to take part in the Sierra Club People’s Hearing on the Clean Power Plan.

On November 28 and 29, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is holding a public hearing in Charleston about its plans to dismantle a key rule, known as the Clean Power Plan, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas pollution. This is the only hearing planned for the entire country.

Your voice in support of the Clean Power Plan is vital!

Though the window for registering to speak at EPA’s hearing has passed, we invite you to attend the nearby People’s Hearing hosted by Sierra Club. This event is being planned to accommodate more speakers than will be able to testify at EPA’s public hearings.

EVENT DETAILS:

WHAT: The People’s Hearing on the Clean Power Plan hosted by the Sierra Club

WHEN: Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

  • Lunch will be provided to those who join the People’s Hearing starting at noon in the Appalachian Room on campus.
  • Sierra Club is coordinating free shuttle buses between the EPA hearings (approximately 2 miles away) and the People’s Hearing.
