What better time to visit national parks than the 250th anniversary year of the founding of the U.S.? Our United by Parks Road Trip and silent auction launch soon, offering the inspiration and supplies you need.
2026 is a year for Americans to reflect on who we are and what we want to carry forward for the next generation. For NPCA, that journey begins in our national parks. They are the places our country has chosen to protect, remember and share.
This month, as NPCA celebrates 107 years of protecting and defending parks, we’re hitting the road through our United by Parks campaign in conjunction with the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
UNITED BY PARKS
Along the way, NPCA staff will share personal stories, favorite places and insider tips. National parks belong to all of us — and we invite you to see these places not just as a destination, but as a part of your own story.
And may we suggest a stop on your journey? Preparing for your own adventure! As part of our Road Trip and birthday celebration, NPCA is launching our annual silent auction May 11, featuring park trip essentials, national park wearables and incredible outdoor activities. Even better, proceeds support our important work protecting and strengthening America’s national parks.
Take a sneak peek below at some of the silent auction items and find something to bring on your next park adventure!

For Planning Your Next National Park Trip
Whether you’re curating your own national park trip itinerary or joining a guided experience, you can create unforgettable memories — and our silent auction items can help you. One option for bidders is to map out their very own park road trip by bidding on 100,000 Wyndham Rewards® points (generously donated by our partner Travelodge® by Wyndham), giving you the flexibility to book up to 13 free nights or mix in discounted stays, activities and more. Or if having your park itinerary planned for you is more your style, Intrepid Travel is offering a once-in-a-lifetime, weeklong adventure through Yellowstone National Park this June, led by environmental author Leah Thomas.
How does this support NPCA’s mission?
This year, Travelodge and NPCA are celebrating 10 years of partnership in driving awareness for and preservation of America’s favorite places. With an emphasis on adventuring responsibly, Travelodge and NPCA collaborate to inspire more people to visit national parks and ensure that visitors have the information they need to make enjoyable, responsible park visits.
As part of its United by Nature campaign, Intrepid donated $50,000 through The Intrepid Foundation to support NPCA’s work on the ground and in D.C. This partnership helps power NPCA’s unique approach: defending parks against threats in communities, on Capitol Hill and, when needed, in the courts.
For Raising a Glass After Your Outdoor Adventures
After a day of exploring, learning and enjoying the wonders of our parks, there’s nothing better than raising a well-earned glass. Whether you’re keeping it alcohol-free or savoring a pour, our partners have thoughtfully curated bundles that help you offer cheers to our parks. Or, bidders can select from three different bundles featuring Yellowstone Bourbon — including the company’s new canned cocktails. Each bundle comes with extras, such as ice trays, tumblers, or tasting glasses and more — all to help you toast to the parks with a little extra flair.
How does this support NPCA’s mission?
