This bad and ugly bill strips critical funding for our national park system, including Grand Teton National Park.
Grand Teton National Park preserves some of our country’s most incredible scenery. The park is home to glacier-carved lakes, a historic district of weathered buildings made by 19th century Mormon homesteaders, and wildlife ranging from the tiny pika to the great grizzly bear. Grand Teton’s distinctive mountain peaks and its breathtaking views from Inspiration Point are among the natural features that attract millions of visitors. Yet over the years, the very vistas that draw people in are now threatened by clawing back $267 million of previously committed funding for national park staffing in their moment of greatest need.
Our fight is not over. Everyone who loves our national parks and public lands must continue to speak up for them. Our wildlife, economy, and outdoor heritage depend on it.
We need the Wyoming delegation and all members of Congress to restore funding, stop the cuts. Our wildlife, economy, and outdoor heritage depend on it.
