Winners of the National Park Heritage Award, 2015

Heritage Award Winners (156 KB)

The National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) is honored to present 81 members of Congress with the National Park Heritage Award.

This award commemorates their support of the major public lands bills included in Title 30 of the Fiscal Year 2015 National Defense Authorization Act, which included the largest expansion of the National Park System in nearly three decades. NPCA and its supporters worked for years to achieve some of these important park victories and the package included NPCA’s top priorities for new and expanded parks in the National Park System.

The senators and representatives who championed pieces of the public lands package included in the final legislation will receive a National Park Heritage Award. On behalf of more than one million NPCA members and supporters, we thank this bipartisan group of senators and representatives for their outstanding efforts to preserve America’s heritage through the growth and enhancement of the National Park System.
