Sushanth works as an Environmental Planner with the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG). Prior to his current role, Sushanth served in the Chesapeake Conservation Corps, placed with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and as an Environmental Management Staffer for the Chesapeake Bay Program's Water Quality Goal Implementation Team (WQGIT). Sushanth has a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics and minor in Spanish Literature, Linguistics, and Culture from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Masters in Natural Resources from Virginia Tech.

An (almost) lifelong Marylander, Sushanth has spent countless hours exploring, appreciating, and giving back to the Bay Watershed. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, learning more about the world around him, spending time outdoors, and hosting.
