Renee joined NPCA in August 2022. Renee’s work is focus on protecting parks and surrounding communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region from the impacts of the climate crisis, including sea level rise, flooding, and extreme weather events.

Renee’s prior experience includes advocacy and policy work across the Chesapeake and Delaware River watersheds in Pennsylvania. She joined the NPCA team from PennFuture, where she was the Watershed Advocacy Campaign Manager and Pennsylvania state lead for the Choose Clean Water Coalition. Renee led the organization’s Chesapeake Bay work and working with partners secured nearly $1 billion in funding for conservation in Pennsylvania.

Renee served as an Associate Director of Clean Water Supply at American Rivers working on green stormwater infrastructure and municipal stormwater management. In her capacity as Associate Director, Renee served on the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Chesapeake Bay Stormwater Workgroup and on the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Riparian Forest Buffer Advisory Committee. Prior to that, Renee served as the Pennsylvania Staff Scientist at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation where she advocated for strong policies to protect healthy local streams and designed an Environmental Justice stormwater education program.

Located in southcentral Pennsylvania, Renee is driven by her love for the outdoors. She enjoys paddling, hiking, camping, and biking. Renee holds an M.S. in Environmental Studies and a B.S. in Environmental Geography, both from Ohio University.
