Peg has non-profit, corporate and governmental professional experience. After earning her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, she began as a Field Director for the Girl Scouts of Singing Sands (South Bend, IN), with responsibility for organizing troops, coordinating day camps and training volunteer leaders. Following graduate school at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, Peg joined the Ralston Purina Human Foods Marketing Group (St. Louis). As a Product Manager, she was responsible for the planning, implementation and measurement of specific product strategies. A critical skill was leading teams from multiple disciplines to achieve goals.

With a heart for human services, Peg became the first Executive Director of the Developmental Disabilities Resource Board (DDRB) of St. Charles County (MO) in 1993. The DDRB is a public taxing district dedicated to supporting citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be fully included in the community. Peg is inspired by the people she met and their stories. Reporting to a volunteer board, Peg established policies and procedures to ensure fairness and accountability in the utilization of tax funds. Peg ensured that the operations of the organization were transparent to the taxpayers. She was also actively engaged in ensuring that the Missouri legislature and relevant state agencies were educated about the impact of the funding. During her tenure, the budget of the DDRB grew from $3.3 Million to over $17 Million. She received recognition for her work and retired after 30 years of service.

Since retirement, Peg has greatly enjoyed spending time with her wife, Gayle, and their grandchildren – 4 boys under the age of 4! She travels, most recently to Oregon, with memorable visits to the Redwood National Forest and Crater Lake. She serves on the Board of St. Louis Life, a provider of residential services to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. She remains very active, enjoying working out and spending time outdoors and has a regular Taiji and Qigong practice.
